— As Dr Chidi Lloyd Promises Free Flow Of Traffic At The Flag Off Ceremony
Following the inauguration of the Rivers State PDP campaign council for the 2023 general election and ahead of the commencement of electioneering campaigns in the state, the Director General (DG) of the campaign council and chairman of the venue committee, Bro Felix Obuah on Wednesday led members of the venue and traffic committees on a tour of the facilities at the proposed venue for the official campaign flag off ceremony at Adokiye Amesimaka stadium in Ikwerre LGA, Rivers State.
Members of the two committees later held a joint strategic meeting at the proposed venue, to work out modalities for a successful campaign flag-off ceremony.
The deputy chairman of PDP in Rivers State, Hon Aaron Chukwuemeka who is also the alternate chairman of the venue committee, the chairman of Emohua LGA, Dr Chidi Lloyd, the immediate past Rivers State works commissioner, Barr Olisaelloka Tasie-Amadi and the president general of Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI), Hon Bright Amaewhule were amongst other ranking members of the state campaign council who attended the strategic meeting.
Meanwhile, the chairman of the Emohua local government area, Dr Chidi Lloyd says the traffic committee of the state campaign council is committed to ensuring the free flow of traffic at the campaign flag-off.
The council chairman who is also the chairman of the state traffic committee stated this when he led members of the committee to inspect the road network within and around the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium earlier on Wednesday.
He said the essence of the inspection was to study the road network around the venue of the event, for proper traffic management during the campaign flag-off ceremony.
Dr Lloyd said the traffic committee will be working in synergy with the federal road safety corps and security agencies, as well as ad-hoc traffic marshals for effective traffic management before, during and after the event.
The state traffic committee also has Hon Osima Ginah as alternate chairman, with chairmen of Ahoada-West, Asari-Toru and Degema LGAs, Hon Hope Ikiriko, Hon Onengiyeofori George and Michael John Williams respectively, and others as members.
